While our 12U team was off playing in their state tournament, our 10U & 14U players decided to participate in Waukee's Relay for Life event June 12-13.  It rained until about 9pm that night, but we still had a fun  time.  We celebrated those who have survived cancer, remembered those we have lost, and fought back by raising money for the American Cancer Society.  Thank you to Jen Slauson for being our team captain, and thank you to all who supported our team and the event! 

We invite all softball and baseball teams to form relay teams and join us next year in 2010.  We may be competitors on the field occasionally, but we are all on the same team when it comes to finding a cure for cancer.
