5th Place (14U) - May Madness - Ankeny (May 8-10)

The team finished the tournament in 5th place with wins over Waukee Warriors (Potts) & PCM Mustangs, and losses to the teams who finished 1st and 2nd place - Johnston Gold & Carlisle Wildcats.

5th Place (14U) - East DM Earlybird (May 14-17)

The team finished 5th in the "A" bracket out of a field of 14 teams, with wins over WDM Black and SDM Sting and losing to SDM Rebels. 

Amber L and Hope C were pulled up to their respective high school's varsity softball teams.  Congratulations!

2nd Place (14U) - Adel (May 29-31)

The team went 4-1 in round robin play, with wins over ADM, Waukee Purple, BCLUW and Centerville Red Hots, and a loss to Mason City.  Played Mason City for the championship, and lost a tough, close game to them. 

14U Champions - Bondurant (June 7)

The team went 3-0 in this one day tournament with wins against Urbandale, Southern Thunder & West Liberty.

 5th Place - USSSA 13U State (June 26-28)

Went 2-2, with wins against Centerville Red Hots & West Liberty, and losses to Mason City & Heart of Iowa Heat.

Champions - Urbandale Silver Bracket (July 2-5)

Went 3-2-1 with wins against ESC Black, Urbandale Red and PCM Mustangs, a tie with Urbandale Red (game called in extra innings due to rain), and losses to DCG Fillies & WAC Gold (who finished 1st & 2nd in Gold Bracket).

9th Place (14U) - 5th Annual Shriners Charity Ladies FP Tourney (Moline) (July 17-19)

This was a fun travel tourney for the team!  The 14U level had 23 teams, and the team played 5 teams they had never played before.  The team went 3-1 in pool play, winning games against North Scott, Ottawa Renegades and the Quad City Cats, and losing to Pleasant Valley 2-0.  Their 2nd place finish in their pool gave them a bye for the first round of bracket play on Sunday, and then they were matched up with Heartland Havoc, the 2009 USSSA 13U Illinois State Champs.  The team lost a good game with a score of 2-0.  This tournament had each team pick an MVP of the opponent's team after the pool games, and here are the recipients from this team: North Scott picked Natalie V; Ottawa Renegades picked Nicole B; Pleasant Valley picked Nicole B; Quad City Cats picked Jessica W - Congratulations!  It was fun to travel with the 10U SWAT players and parents!

USSSA 13U Fast Pitch World Series - (West Des Moines) (July 27-Aug 2)

We welcomed Rachel M (Waukee) and Bryce H (Roland) to our team and Iowa SWAT family.  We went 3-3 in this tournament, and played the following teams: Crush (Missouri), Wasco Diamonds 95 (Illinois), Southern Thunder (Iowa), Bridgeview Redbirds (Illinois), Plainfield Shockers (Illinois) and Northern Ice (Illinois).  This tournament had each team pick an MVP of the opponent's team after the pool games, and the recipients from this team are: Crush picked Nicole B; Wasco Diamonds 95 picked Natalie V; Southern Thunder picked Bryce H - Congratulations!  There were 43 teams playing in the 13U World Series!
